Halloweens past and present

Tonight we had our ward party, so I spent all day today trying to finalize the girls costumes, as well as mine and Kevins. I have to say I'm pretty excited about them this year! But when I started to post, I thought it would be fun to go back and look at all our previous years of halloweens together.

This was our second halloween, and Halli's first. she was a cute little chicken. It was all just for show since she was our first kid, we didn't go to the ward party or trick or treating of course, so we just dressed her up at home for the fun of it.
I don't have Halli's second halloween. I know we have video of it, but I don't think I took any pictures. But she was a cute 50's girl and I was as well! Kevin and I only dress up for the ward parties, so obviously we went that year, and the trunk or treat was her first experience at collecting candy! But here is her Third Hallowee, she was a cute Kittie, and starting to get the hang of trick or treating. We didn't go to a ward party this year, so no costumes for me and the hubby.

This was 2006, and Halli was dorothy, and Peyton, at almost 2 months was a tiger.

Sticking to the theme, we were the wizard of Oz group for halloween! Kevin is such a good sport, and gladly wears whatever I give him, what a great guy! (Halli just pretended that Peyton was a lion to stick to our theme)

Last year, I was recovering from surgery, so since I was bandaged up, me and Kevin were Jack and Jill, if you look close you can see my pretty boot.

Here is our pirate princess and Ariel

This year, was kinda fun, and we put Lexie in the Bjorn as a bumblebee, so Kevin and I were a flower and a bee keeper. I didn't get a picture with him wearing the hat, but he looked handsome as ever behing that black veil! Here is Lexie and her bee keeper.

Me and the other girls. Peyton was the Kittie, same as Halli before, and Halli went as Daphne from scooby doo (She LOVES that show for some reason!). I had fun making her costume though and think it turnedout pretty well. For anyone that wants to copy Lexies costume, its just a towel and electrical tape, SO easy and I got SO many compliments on it tonight!

The Girls had tons of fun tonight and Halli is REALLY looking forward to Halloween so we can get dressed up and do it all over again! Yeah! I'll post better pictures of the girls then too.

Halli looks very "Daphne" - cute costume. I Love the Kitty and your costume was easy...good thinking. I like how you did Lexie's bee costume. We need to see Kevin's again, full uniform this time...Cute idea.

Cute! Cute! LOVE the way Halli & Lexie's costumes turned out! Can't wait to see them all in person...Halloween night. And just for the record... Greg would have NEVER worn that tin man costume. :) Party Pooper! :)

Brett can't belive what a great sport Kevin is to let you dress him up.

I think their costumes turned out great, have fun getting the orange out of Halli's hair, I remember spraying my hair once and it took weeks to come out!!!

I love how you can come up with things and make them so easy to do and yet still so cute. The girls look great and I'm sure they love having you and Kevin dress up with them too!

You are so fun and creative! I loved seeing all the old costumes too. The Bjorn/bee thing is so clever! Our Halloween party is this week and I can;t convince my kids to dress in themes anymore! :) I love the Daphne hair! Elise was Kim Possible one year and we used orange hairspray stuff-ick! Wigs are fun.

Everyone looks great. It made me laugh when I saw that Kevin was a bee keeper and you were a flower. We were going to do that exact same thing since Elsie was a bumblebee too. Great minds think alike:)

Your girls are so cute. I love reading your Mom's blog and all the cute things she says about her grand kids.

Oh my gosh I love all those costumes. Your girls are so cute. the bee idea was so good. Elsie krins daughter was a bee and we were tying to think how she could be a flower. I had to laugh when I saw your blog because neither of us thought of that simple idea of a headband with pedals around it. You are obviously very creative. We both don't have those creative jeans. Thanks for all the nice supportive comments. Sorry I never leave any. I am not a good commentor. Getting better though . You and your family look great.
