A little less than a year ago I wrote about my evil plan to get my family to move to Houston. This is a tough one, since California may have a little more appeal for most people, but it never hurt to try, right? Well, in April of last year my brother and his wife moved down to college station, so that was a decent start, now I just needed my sister and my parents, Sorry Ryan & Kate, I would love to have y'all out here, but I know there is probably VERY little chance of that happening, so you're gonna be a little left out of the mix.
Well, I am very happy to report that my parents were here visiting for three very short days following their very long drive to help move my sister and her hubby down! Yes, you heard right, my sister now lives less than 30 minutes away, YEAH!!! I can't believe she actually lives this close and isn't really planning on leaving anytime soon. (I know they may have to as her hubby is doing an internship and my get a job somewhere else, but we'll pretend that won't happen!)
Now we just need to get my parent's down here, that may be a little tougher. The last time they were here, my dad said he could live in conroe, and considering the fact that he's always been slightly anti-houston, that's a pretty big concession. I guess he liked all the trees and the lake! So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best! Here's to a future post titled, "my evil plan - Complete!" Wish me luck!

I'm crossing my fingers for you. I still cross my fingers for my family too. :) I thought of this idea last night after we got off the phone... let's do a girls night out w/ Brittney... would she want too?? I think that would be so fun. Hope to see her soon!
GOOD LUCK!! I really hope your evil plan comes to pass! I have had the same evil plan for 13 years now. I had a sister move to Aztec for a couple of years-I loved it!!! I think it is a righteous desire to have your family closer, don't you think? :)
So, this is one of those times where we have already talked all about this, but I still want to comment on your blog! I really think your evil plan is going to come to pass one day. I figure if your dad has mentioned Conroe, you and Brittney are here and Eric is not too far, and your girls remain to be the cutest girls ever, they won't be able to resist moving here eventually! I totally understand why you are plotting for this, it is great to have you mom around! Thanks again for today, I had so much fun chatting with you as always! Peyton was really good occupational therapy for Braden too!

After seeing how hard it was for them to leave and how upset the girls were after...I'm sure they'll want to come back to stay very soon. I hope so at least!
i'm jealous! i wish we had some family out here. i think the chances are slim but maybe someday. and i love your blog layout.
