Memory Lane

I stole this from my sisters blog & thought it would be fun, so please play along.:)

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

I remember the first time we had our own rooms, in west bountiful, and I would be so scared at night that I would bring my blanket and pillow and sleep on your floor cause I knew my big sister could protect me.

Or the time mom grounded us to our beds and we wanted our barbies that were in the middle of the floor, so we agreed that if one foot was still touching the bed then we were technically still on our bed. (this happened a few times)

Or one of the many times when we would come home from school to find that one of our cats had just given birth to a litter of kittens, and we would be soo excited.

Then there was the time you didn't want Ginger to get outside so you asked me not to close the door and I closed it hoping to spite you, instead I did exactly what you knew I would do.

And cheering for you during track season even though you were running against my own team, I still wanted you to kick the crap out of them.

and the list goes on........

I haven't known you very long, but my first memory of you is at our first Primary Presidency meeting at Jana's house. You showed up in crutches after just having surgery on you ancle. I remember well how you got that injury, you said you were running away from a bee. I felt so bad for you being on crutches and having to still care for two small children. You are quite the trooper and always so positive.

When you were 1 1/2, your dad and I were at a ward baseball game, where the guys were playing and moms were tending to the kids. You had been walking for a while and you were cashing a ball along with another little boy about the same age and in the rush to get the ball you either feel or was pushed and you went down, hitting the metal brackets of the bleachers, (Upside down T shape), split your lip wide open. That was my first of many experiences to the ER.

And the ladies there were arguing over whether or not you need stitches and I was freaking out, could hardly take a look at your lip. Finally I called Logan out of the game and we packed you and Ryan up and headed to the ER.

The had to strap you into a papoose Logan went in with you and I waited out in the waiting room and you were screaming and I had such a hard time knowing you were in such misery.

Those stitches were three layers deep, so gladd I didn't listen to those who said you didn't need them.

That was just the beginning of many trips to the ER for you.

Sorry about the deleted comment I was logged in as Shauna cause I am on her computer and didn't realized it. :)

I remember when you and Kevin started dating and Ryan and I had just got engaged...you asked me how I knew Ryan was the "one". I just told you that I felt really comfortable with him right away and we had a lot of fun together. I remember you saying that was how you felt with Kevin, I think you got engaged shortly after this conversation. I remember feeling happy/special that you wanted my opinion about something so important. :)

I love all of the many trips/holidays(Yellowstone, Houseboating on Lake Shasta, Christmas, etc.) that we have been on together with our kids. I wish Tyler and Halli could be together more often. You are such a great mom!!!

Lots and Lots of good memories

Always being able to call you with kid questions because I know you can give good advice and don't pretend that you have never had to deal with kid issues.

Painting the Hill in high school.

Your beautiful wedding and you coming to mine even though you had been all over the place the whole month before.

Ceramics...we won't go there. I come out bad! :)

I wish we lived closer. There are many more but I can't think straight right now!!

Eric's Memory of April:
uhh...hmmm...give me a moment...
You had come over to the high school to help me with my high jump. You had walked away for a little bit and the "football Star" came over and to me and asked if you were my girlfriend. I told him you were my sister which made him smile as he told me just how hot you were.
Jill's Memory:
I still don't have any right off the bat that I think of but everytime I hear your name I always just get this visual of you laughing. Whenever we get together you always are happy, even when you hurt your ankle or 9 months pregnant or just had a beautiful crying baby! So that's probably would sum up my memories

My first memory of you was actually beofre I even met you. Greg and I hadn't been married very long and Kevin called Greg pretty late one night. I don't remember the time, but Greg and I were alreday in bed, so I just know it was late. :) Anyway, I don't know what all was said, but Kevin was calling for a little brotherly advice and when Greg got off the phone, he said "well Kevin's in love!" :) Then he proceded to tell me a little about this girl, named April, who Kevin wanted to marry.
I finally got to meet this girl (YOU) :) and I was so excited to have a sister-in-law on the Williams side. Little did I know you wouldn't live here for several more years. :) The first time i met you was at Alan & Brenda's house and then we all went to papsito's...of course. :) I just remeber thinking you were so beautiful and TALL. :) :) I didn't get to know you a whole lot until the cruise we all took. That was so much fun and so nice to sit and talk with you and get to know you. I think we got a lot closer after that. I am so glad that we are sister-in-laws and that we get to live close by eachother.
There are many more memories, but those were just my first ones. the list could go on and on.

April, just had to tell you that I had not heard that final portion to Eric's story about his hand. He made it seem like he learned his lesson after the first big mess. So glad you let me know that it takes a few times before he learns.

My first memory of you was at your wedding. Up until that point I had only seen your picture in the wedding announcement. I just remember thinking how beautiful you were. I do remember the pictures taken at your reception of you and Kevin with the basketballs.

All I know is Sean was your home teacher and he told me every time he got home from your house that he thought you and I would be really good friends but I never got to get to know you b/c you were in primary. He kept trying to get us together b/c I think he knew how long I'd been looking for a really great friend and he was right!

I do remember the first time we met when yall were visiting our ward and Blake and Halli were only like 9 months old but already flirting even though all they could do was crawl! I remember thinking you were a super cute girl and that you dressed Halli so so so cute!

My next memory would be sitting by yall in church the Sunday before you found out Peyton was a girl. We talked about how close our pregnancies were and it was fun to have so much in common. Halli pulled out a monster truck and had Blake hooked from that day on.

Then one night yall had us for dinner and Blake and Halli played like angels. They were such little kindred spirits and it was so refreshing to see Blake have so much fun. I remember getting teary eyes over how cute they were together (probably b/c I was preggers but it was sooo cute). I remember thinking the conversation was so great that night and it seemed Blake, Sean, and I had all made life time friends.

How fun was it to have Braden and Peyton together. I remember many times nursing together at restaurants and all sorts of other places! It has been such a blessing in our lives to have the Williams! We love having yall down the street, it is the best. I can only hope that one day Blake really will marry Halli and Braden really will marry Peyton! How funny would that be!

Wow, April.... good to see you again girlie! I think I'll go with the first memory I have of us & that'd be Girl's Camp all those years ago when we were little yearlings. Can you believe how long it's been?
